Worker’s Party

Getting out of bed on this ice cold Monday
Trying not to think about what’s to come
Wishing I could sack it off and find the guts to run away
Longing for the endless days of summer sun
Got to do my bit, got to do my share
Got to find some motivation
Got to work all day, got to play the game
And prop up this sick nation

Well the coffers and the dossers and the parasites leech
From the blood and sweat we give
And the prices rise and the takers take
From the precious life we live
And it’s frowned upon to have some fun
As they take away our freedom
Incentives have been outlawed
With mandatory credence

And we can take it all as read
That this idea will soon be dead
And we can unify our misery
To try and fix our heads
So come and join the party
The invitation’s free
Come celebrate equality
And subscribe to the dream

Trying not to think on this I scream Sunday
Trying not to ask what I’m doing here
Wishing I could jack it off and find someone to blow away
Longing for the endless days of hate and fear
Falling in love with the institution
Dreaming till the day I die
Fighting the fight with no solutions
Fighting the cause in problems problems problems

Causing problems

And we can take it all as read
That this idea will soon be dead
And we can unify our misery
To try and fix our heads
So come and join the party
The invitation’s free
Come celebrate equality
And subscribe to the dream

They’re talking revolution
But the cycle just repeats
Marching round in circles
To imaginary beats
Monkey see, monkey do
Monkey’s throwing nuts at you
Sell your soul to the new flagpole
As they kill your right to choose

And we can take it all as read
That this idea will soon be dead
And we can unify our misery
To try and fix our heads
So come and join the party
The invitation’s free
Come celebrate equality
And subscribe to the dream
